This event was canceled

Activities

As Winter winds down and Spring is on the horizon, we will take advantage of the last of the winter planting to continue planting along the Sword Fern Trail on the up slope side. We will be planting "plugs" which are non-potted, rooted plants. We will train on the appropriate planting techniques to increase the survival rate of these plantings.

All ages OK

5 out of 15 participants registered.

What to Bring

Come dressed for the weather (rain or shine) in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes (rubber boots, hiking shoes or boots), long sleeves, long pants, warm layers and rain jacket. We'll have tools and gloves for you to use, as well as coffee, water, and a mid-morning snack. Help reduce waste by bringing your own refillable coffee mug/water bottle if you have one. All volunteers under 18 are required to bring a Youth Waiver Form before participating in their first work party. This form can be found on the log in page for registration.

Where to Meet

1120 15th Ave. S. We will meet at the Salmonberry Loop Trail which is located on the south end of the park, at the wayfinding post near the steps that leads down to the Sword Fern Trail.

Where to Park
