Frink Park - Frink Ridge Invasive Plant …02/10/2026

Activities

We're going to visit violence upon some invasive species today in preparation to replace them with native local species this fall. You can expect to be pulling out mostly ivy and holly. This site has been under restoration since 2022 so it's a good place to see what's been done and what your work area will look like a couple of years from now.

All ages OK

What to Bring

I provide all the tools and I have a lot of clean gloves. Your own work gloves are always best if you have them. Please bring a water bottle and a snack. Wear sturdy footwear and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. There are bathrooms a short walk away but the area we'll be working is a raw forest area. You will get dirty.

Where to Meet

Please refer to the map on this event site for the exact location, but it is one block south and one block east of the Dream Catcher Sculpture on Yesler Way and 32nd Ave S.

Where to Park

The best place to park is on 32nd Avenue South near Yesler Way, or on Yesler Way. This is outside the front entrance of Leschi Elementary School.

Bus: Bus 27 will drop you off near Leschi Elementary School.
Bus 14 will drop you off on South Jackson Street near 30th Ave South. From there you walk to 31st, take a left, walk down the hill to South Washington Street, take the stairs down and then continue east on South Washington Street to the work site, about 2 blocks.
