Westcrest Park - Westcrest Park- Fallin' for …09/12/2026

Activities

Join Dirt Corps this September as we're Fallin' for Fungi and caring for Westcrest trails. We'll be learning a bit about the fungi in our forest and how they interact with their ecosystem and its health. We'll then be removing non-native weeds such as blackberry from around plants and bare ground to help the native plants there grow and thrive and to make way for new native plantings in the spring. We hope to see you there!

What to Bring

Please bring with you what you will need to be comfortable whilst spending a few hours working outside. Dress in clothed layers for the weather, and consider bringing additional dry, insulating, or waterproof layers.
Remember to bring water, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, or any other accessories to protect yourself from the elements.
Remember that blackberry thorns are sharp and can snag clothing, and that the terrain may be uneven and/or wet.
We will be providing gloves and tools for all to use, as well as snacks, hot drinks, and water.
