Longfellow Creek GS: Thistle Street Greenspace - Fight Blackberries in Thistle …08/15/2026

Activities

Come learn about and participate in restoration efforts right here in your neighborhood! We'll be identifying and removing invasive species to clear up space for the fall planting season, with the long-term goal of returning this important neighborhood forest to something closer to its historic, pre-logging form. If we're lucky we'll see some cool birds, too!

All ages OK

0 out of 10 participants registered.

What to Bring

Wear long pants, long sleeves, gardening gloves if you have them, and closed-toe shoes. NO SANDALS - we don't want to endanger your toes! Also bring a bottle of water, a snack (if desired), and your desire to make friends with trees and shrubs.

Where to Meet

We will meet at the entrance to the greenspace in the open area next to the community garden.

Where to Park

On the street along Thistle. There's usually abundant street parking.
