Seattle Forest Week is November 7th - 15th!

Plant a forest and grow community! This is the time of year that we get together with our neighbors and kick off tree planting season. From creating wildlife habitat, to combating climate change, and providing a place for residents to recreate: having a hand in Seattle Forest Week is one of the best ways to give back to your neighbors, parks, and your local forest.

Join the fun and be one of hundreds of volunteers across the city planting native trees, shrubs, and groundcovers that will become the future forest of Seattle. All community members are welcome, and no experience is necessary. These events are family friendly and open to all ages.

At this event, we will be doing some blackberry removal and starting to plant.

What to Bring

Come dressed for the weather (rain or shine) in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes (rubber boots, hiking shoes or boots), long sleeves, long pants, warm layers and rain jacket. We'll have tools and gloves for you to use. Help reduce waste by bringing your own water bottle!
If you are dropping off a youth under 18, please bring a signed youth waiver form,

Where to Meet

We will meet on the north side of the parking lot for Louisa Boren STEM K8 at 10AM and will walk the short distance to the restoration site across the street after greetings and introductions.
