SUMMARY: Event MLK Day of Service at Maple Wood Playfield
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, we will be continuing our forest restoration efforts at Maple Wood Playfield. The Student Conservation Association and the community have put in a massive amount of work here over the last three years, including the installation of over 1,500 native plants. The only way that these young plants can reach maturity and transform the site into a healthy urban forest is through continued maintenance through their first few vulnerable years. Come out and help the SCA maintain all of this hard work by weeding out regrowth of invasive plants and mulching around our precious young native trees and shrubs. Help create another future healthy forest for the good of our environment and community!
