Northacres Park - Northacres Weeding Extravaganza!09/02/2018

Activities

Join us at Northacres Park to help keep our forest healthy! We will be pulling weeds and creating space for our upcoming fall plantings. We will be targeting bindweed (morning glory), ivy, and Himalayan blackberry. Coffee and water provided! Feel free to bring a change of clothes or a swim suit to cool off in at the spray park afterwards!

Open to the public

All ages OK

6 out of 15 participants registered.

What to Bring

Be sure to wear long pants and close-toed shoes. The area we're working is fairly well shaded, but it's a good idea to bring a long sleeved shirt, sunscreen, and a sun hat to keep yourself protected. Bring whatever snacks you need to get you through the event!

Bottled water will be available, but we encourage folks to bring their reusable water bottles and fill up ahead of time if possible.

Where to Meet

We will be meeting near the parking lot on the western edge of the park, towards the picnic tables. Keep an eye out for folks in orange vests!

Where to Park

Park in the western lot. The entrance is off 1st Avenue NE, south of NE 130th St.
