SUMMARY: Event December Mulch-Fest at Maple Wood Playfield!
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:In November, the Student Conservation Association planted nearly 400 native trees and shrubs with the help of over 60 local volunteers for Green Seattle Day! This month, we will be returning to that planting site and mulching around our new baby plants to help keep them warm this winter. Mulching around young plants helps with water retention, soil health and weed suppression. And moving buckets of mulch is a great winter workout! Come on out this December and help the next generation of conservation leaders build another future healthy forest.
