SUMMARY: Event Help bring back the native forest at West Kubota
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:This time of year, volunteers will be doing invasive plant removal:  Walking and wading through partially restored forest to liberate native plants from invasive species such as ivy and blackberry.  Ivy will be pulled out of the ground using hands, hand tillers with vines cut if they are too thick. Blackberry vines will be cut down above the ground, and the roots dug up with shovels. In addition, we will have some potted plants and “live stakes” to plant.
