Growing a healthy urban forest requires a keen eye for the health and development of it’s vegetation. At this workshop, Horticulturist Christina Pfeiffer will teach about the timing and best practices of pruning and vegetation thinning techniques that supports forest health and safe trail corridors in all four phases of restoration. Participants will have the opportunity for hands practice at nearby Pritchard Natural Area.

What to Bring

A notebook, pen, comfortable shoes for a restoration event, and appropriate clothing for the weather, as we will be outside.
