Discovery Park - If you love Discovery …08/25/2019

Activities

If you love Discovery Park, please come help us make it even better. In preparation for planting 400 native plants in the Fall we are removing a variety of invasive weeds, including Ivy, Stinky Bob, and Blackberry (You can eat the berries then remove the plant!). Next to the site is an area with 40 native species, where you can identify them with help from Volunteer Naturalists!

All ages OK

17 out of 20 participants registered.

What to Bring

Wear clothes you want to get dirty in. Long pants better than shorts because you may encounter occasional thorns. Definitely closed toe shoes. We supply gloves and all the tools you'll need. Bring your own water please, and we'll bring cookies.

Where to Meet

Our site is at the SOUTH end of the Discovery Park South Parking Lot. Park any where in the South Parking Lot and you will have a short walk to our site. Follow the numerous green signs to our site. Do NOT park at the Visitor Center, (it is a mile away).
