Cheasty GS: Cheasty Blvd - Stantec In the Community …09/27/2019

Activities

Stantec has been restoring the forest at Cheasty Greenspace since 2014. We have helped restore and maintain a wet area in the forest called, "the Christmas Tree Trail" by removing impassable brambles of invasive blackberry and ivy that once dominated the area. Thanks to help from volunteers, this part of the forest has seen the return of native species resulting in a healthier habitat for forest creatures and a retreat from urban stress for people living in an undeserved area of Seattle. This year we will do a mix of maintenance and first time blackberry removal in two areas.
