SUMMARY: Event United Way Martin Luther King Day at West Kubota
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:This year, our focus will be on winter planting. Volunteers will haul potted plants up to restoration sites. There may be some invasive plant removal to do. Then replacement native plants will be put in the ground. Winter planting gives the plants months to establish roots before they have to survive the next summer’s PNW drought conditions. Volunteers are invited to ask the forest stewards about the site they are restoring, Pacific North West plants and ecology, and the value of native forests.
