The seeds are spread by the birds, which means they proliferate where birds roost. The easiest means of control is very simply clipping the stem below the soil line.  We need to complete this task before the savannah sparrows start defending their nesting territory.  We will likely finish the spurge laurel midway through the event so will finish our day by cutting back blackberry.
