Join Dirt Corps this March to celebrate the International Day of Forests and help us care for this section of the West Duwamish Greenbelt. We'll be learning about this international celebration and forest care event and the tree species present in Westcrest Park. We'll then be caring for our restoration area by applying mulch around the native plants and trees and removing weeds (looking at you blackberry!). We hope to see you there!

What to Bring

Please bring with you what you will need to be comfortable whilst spending a few hours working outside. Dress in clothed layers for the weather, and consider bringing additional dry, insulating, or waterproof layers.
Remember to bring water, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, or any other accessories to protect yourself from the elements.
Remember that blackberry thorns are sharp and can snag clothing, and that the terrain may be uneven and/or wet.
We will be providing gloves and tools for all to use, as well as snacks, hot drinks, and water.
