SUMMARY: Event Duwamish Alive!  Celebrating Earth Month at the RIver
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Spend a fun day along the Duwamish River which provides the largest salmon habitat in the lower part of the river.  This critical area for the juvenile salmon provides them a safe place to rest and forage for food before they enter Puget Sound.  Volunteers will be mulching and removing invasive plants to continue fall plantings of culturally significant native plants of the Duwamish Tribe. Also included are special speakers and tabling offering information about the river, its wildlife and efforts to improve its health. Afterwards, cross the street to visit the Duwamish Longhouse to learn more about the tribe from their historical exhibit.
