SUMMARY: Event Seattle Forest Week at Daybreak Star Cultural Center - Community & Land Tending
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Seattle Forest Week is November 7–15!

This is the time of year when we gather with our neighbors to welcome planting season and care for the land together. All community members are welcome. No experience is necessary. All ages are welcome, and these events are family friendly.

These gatherings are a return—to land, to care, and to being in right relationship with one another. Guided by Indigenous leadership at the United Indians of All Tribes Foundation, we come together to practice food sovereignty, cultural memory, and collective care in ways that are grounded, relational, and real.

This season, we’ll be tending the Forest Garden, a living space that supports elders, youth, and Indigenous-centered community programs while growing a future rooted in reciprocity, responsibility, and long-term care.

Come move your body, tend the land, and be in community. Whether you stay for a couple of hours or the full day, there will be opportunities for hands-on care through:

Planting
Weeding
Harvesting
Community connection and learning

You don’t need to know anything about gardening or restoration. Come as you are.

If you’re looking for a place to show up, build relationships, and grow something lasting, come gather with us at Daybreak Star.

All ages welcome. No experience necessary.

Together, we tend the land and imagine what’s possible.
