SUMMARY: Event 🌱 Oak Understory Planting
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:GSP is partnering with Queer the Land (queertheland.org) to support the ongoing stewardship of this oak understory garden as a space to build community and relationships with first food plants of the Coast Salish region. All experience levels welcome!

We'll start with an introduction to the site for new volunteers and then demonstrate planting techniques and best practices. Then, we'll work on planting a number of perennials around the meadow, forest edge, and shoreline edge patches.

Please note these activities may involve bending, kneeling, and lifting. There's seating on-site, but the garden isn't wheelchair-accessible.
