Restore the woods and help us steward our new trail! Depending on the time of the year, we'll be pulling ivy, grubbing blackberry roots, planting new native plants, or mulching; but always having a good time! Work party regulars include naturalists who are happy to answer your questions about the birds, beasts, shrubs, and trees that live in the East Duwamish. What to Bring

Dress for work and weather: long pants, long-sleeved shirts, closed-toed shoes or boots, and a rain jacket. Tools and gloves will be provided, but bring some snacks and a water bottle.

Where to Meet

The forest is located along 39th Ave S, between S Cloverdale and S Trenton Streets in South Beacon Hill. We will meet at the entrance by the yellow fire hydrant, but if you arrive late, just follow the trail and look for us in the woods. The forest is a short walk from bus stops or light rail. Use 8631 39th Ave S as an approximate address, and contact us if you need directions.

Where to Park

Limited parking is available adjacent to the site along 39th Ave S, and more parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood.
