Seward Park - Reforestation, closure of unofficial …12/15/2018

Activities

Volunteers will be restoring the understory plants in and around the Andrews Bay trail that have been degraded by off-trail visitors (people, dogs.). These social trails will be replanted with native species - when we're finished, we will have erased the existence of the unofficial ("social") trail.

We'll be planting "wet-loving" under-story ground cover, shrubs and young trees. Some volunteers will plant dry-soil trees - notably madrone & noble fir.

We'll teach you the correct planting techniques for temperate rainforest plants. Review this video before coming to this event - click here
