Help save one of the best forest sections of Magnuson Park. Depending on season work may include removing invasive plants such as bindweed, ivy, or blackberry, spreading of wood chip mulch, and planting. There will also be a chance to learn a bit about native plants while working. Advance approval of leader is required for youth groups or children below high school age.

What to Bring

Dress for the day's weather and wear long pants, long sleeved shirt, and closed toe shoes you don't mind getting dirty. Wear layers if it is chilly and if it is rainy bring rain gear. Bring a full water bottle and snack. Hat and sunblock are recommended for sun protection. Tools and rubber faced cotton work glove are provided.

Where to Meet

Meet by the west side of Sports Field Drive NE about 500 feet north of NE 65th St. at the trail junction near a cross walk and baseball backstops. (The trail connects a point on NE 65th St about 100’ east of 62nd Avenue NE to the meeting place.)

Where to Park

Park on 62nd Avenue NE just north of NE 65th Street, or in the large lot (lot E5) on the North side of NE 65th Street and about 3/8 mile east of Sand Point Way NE.
