The Duwamish River is home to the critical Chinook salmon that our Southern Resident Orca rely upon, Join us in restoring and maintaining salmon habitat along the lower Duwamish River. We will be mulching, removing invasive weeds and just enjoying a beautiful day along Seattle's only river, while also learning about the historic significance of this area. Afterwards cross the street to the Duwamish Longhouse and learn more about the Duwamish People's who have lived here for thousands of years.

What to Bring

We will supply the gloves and tools and will teach you everything you need to know about tool use, safety, forest health, and the importance of the work you will be doing. No prior experience necessary, just come ready to learn something new!

or your safety and comfort please bring:
Clothing that can get dirty (because it will!)
Long pants and long sleeves (helps protect against prickly plants)
Sturdy shoes that can handle some mud (closed toed shoes are required such as shoes with good treads such as work boots, hiking boots, rubber boots, etc. NO sandals, flats, or heels)
Sunscreen and appropriate clothing (check the weather!)
Sack lunch and snacks
Full water bottle
The event will happen rain or shine!
