Seward Park - Reforestation in Seward Park11/17/2019

Activities

Looking for volunteers to help with a reforestation project on the northern edge of Seward Park. We'll be planting forest under-story seedlings (ferns, sedges, Oregon Grape, and others) beneath a western cedar grove. We'll be planting in wet conditions, so be prepared for the chill & damp. No children please. High school ultimate frisbee players over age 16 for service hours accepted.

Adults only

10 out of 20 participants registered.

What to Bring

Warm boots, layers to stay warm & dry, snacks, and your can-do attitude. If you have favorite gloves, bring those too. Please brush the bottoms of your boots before you come to the park - our area is highly susceptible to "hitchhiker seeds"(blackberry, thistle, grasses...)

Where to Meet

Meet at the orange Job Box at the southern end of the Spine/Sqebeqsed Trails (for map click here ) at 9:55. Please be on time.

Where to Park

Park on the upper Seward Park parking lot, or along Seward Park Road (just beyond the job box.) Closest bus route is #50
