Genesee Park and Playfield - North Genesee Forest Restoration11/30/2019

Activities

We're having a planting party! Come meet friends and neighbors and help us restore the forest in Genesee Park. We'll be pulling ivy and planting our newly arrived seedlings. Leave a legacy and make some new friends. There will be work and fun for kids of all ages.

Open to the public

All ages OK

11 out of 20 participants registered.

What to Bring

Please dress in layers and in clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. Closed-toed shoes, long sleeves, and pants are recommended. Bring a full water bottle and snacks. Don't forget to bring your rain gear if rain is in the forecast.

Where to Meet

The restoration site is on the east edge of Genesee Meadow on the north side of Genesee St. (if you are by the soccer fields you are in the wrong section of the park!) Its a bit hard to find but if you head towards the lake from the picnic pavillion towards the trail kiosk, its on your left. Look for the blue canopy.

Where to Park

Park on 43rd Ave S on the west edge of the park or in the gravel lot next to the Parks dept building. For public transportation, take the 50.
