Discovery Park - Habitat restoration at Discovery …02/26/2021

We will be removing invasive plants and planting native plants near the lighthouse.
We will have a nice little hike before we begin our restoration.

Arrive wearing your cloth face covering. You will be expected to keep it on through the entire event. If you forget a mask, extras will be available. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide water and snacks during our events. Please come prepared with your own water bottle and food. You are welcome to bring your own hand sanitizer, work gloves, and specific tools applicable to the tasks outlined in the work plan below (please no power equipment). We will also supply gloves, tools, hand sanitizer, well as sanitation spray for tools.

What to Bring

Bring clothes to keep you warm and dry.

Where to Meet

Meet me at the south parking lot. We will be taking shovels from there and walking from there to the restoration site. If you are running late we will be working 200 yards east of the lighthouse near the beach. Swimming suits are optional as well as snacks and water for our break.
