Beaver Pond Natural Area on TC - Ivy Out at Beaver …04/11/2021

Activities

Spend a morning with friendly, lively Forest Stewards pulling ivy while they share the stories and history of efforts over a decade to transform a once neglected public park into a beautiful natural area that is now home to beavers and other wildlife, right across from Northgate Mall. Six feet distancing will be observed for protection against possible COVID19 infection.

Adults only

12 out of 5 participants registered.

What to Bring

Tools and supplies will be provided for removal of the ivy, piling it up on tarps, and hauling it off for disposal. If you want to bring your own tools, please mark them with your name so we make sure they leave with you again. All volunteers must come masked as an extra precaution against COVID19. Please bring your own gloves, wear sturdy shoes and long slacks as some areas may be wet and muddy. Please also bring your own water and snacks.

Where to Meet

Meet at stair steps on the NE 104th Street entry (on the west side of the natural area) and at the south side of the Pacific Medical Clinic on 5th Ave NE, across from Northgate Mall.

Where to Park

Parking available on NE 104th Street end and on surrounding residential streets.
