Join us to get an early start on removing bindweed, digging out blackberry shoots, and pulling other invasives this spring to keep safe the new shrubs and young trees planted last fall at Beaver Pond Natural Area. Mulch rings will be added as needed. 6 feet distancing will be observed to help ensure no one gets infected with COVID19.

Arrive wearing your cloth face covering. You will be expected to keep it on through
the entire event. If you forget a mask, extras will be available. Unfortunately, we
are unable to provide water and snacks during our events. Please come prepared with
your own water bottle and food. You are welcome to bring your own hand sanitizer,
work gloves, and specific tools applicable to the tasks outlined in the work plan
below (please no power equipment). We will also supply gloves, tools, hand sanitizer,
well as sanitation spray for tools.
What to Bring
Tools, buckets, tarps, materials, and mulch all provided. If you want to bring your own tools, please mark them with your name so we make sure they leave with you. Come masked as an extra precaution against COVID19. Please bring your own gloves; and wear sturdy shoes and long slacks as some areas may be wet and muddy. Please bring your own snacks and water.
Where to Meet
Meet at the 8th Ave NE Entry that is south of the NE 105th and 8th Ave NE intersection, and east of the Northgate Community Center. Entry is on the west side of 8th Ave NE. If coming from I-5, take Northgate exit and travel east on NE Northgate Way until 8th Ave NE. Turn right to go south on 8th Ave NE and go just past NE 105th Ave. Look for large mulch pile along 8th Ave NE and a giant redwood tree in a clearing....you are there.

Limited parking available on surrounding residential streets.
