Maple Wood Playfield - May (Afternoon) Restoration at …05/09/2021
Activities
SUNDAY AFTERNOON SESSION. Happy Mothers' Day! We'll (still) be removing invasive plants from a beautiful site behind the popular Maple Wood Playfield. We may do some mulching. Last year's labor will be evident with many new plant installations and weeding, but it'll take a lot of work to keep up the momentum.
This is a special place to see some Oregon ash, swaths of fringe cup and perhaps our resident Cooper's hawk (working on a new nest since last year).
All ages OK
5 out of 5 participants registered.
What to Bring
Bring a mask, your own water and gloves (I do have clean gloves if needed). Tools are provided and will be sanitized, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Boots, long sleeves and long pants are recommended. This area can be very wet.
Where to Meet
Meet at the Doug Fir tree on the north side of the playground area.
Where to Park
Parking is available for this park along Corson Ave itself, as well as in the designated parking lot by the restrooms.
