Beaver Pond Natural Area on TC - Spring Plant Care at …05/23/2021

Activities

Give many recently planted natives a boost by getting ahead of the invasive weeds trying to out compete them. See what is leafing out and budding while enjoying a concert of bird songs! We will be masked to ensure everyone is protected even if not fully vaccinated yet, and we will be spaced out six feet or more. Area is level and easy to access. If it rains heavily, work party will be rescheduled.

Adults only

10 out of 6 participants registered.

What to Bring

Tools, buckets and tarps provided. You are welcome to bring your favorite hand tools for digging out weeds but please make sure they are marked. Please bring your own masks and gloves. Sturdy shoes, long slacks and long sleeves recommended. Please bring your own snacks and water if needed. Sanitation supplies will be available.

Where to Meet

Meet at the 8th Ave NE entry, just south of NE 105th Street intersection, on the west side of 8th. Look for a large mulch pile at the street edge, and a large redwood tree a little further into the site.

Where to Park

Limited residential parking is available in the neighborhood on 8th Ave NE and NE 105th Street. If you find parking around Northgate construction site, come across NE 105th from 5th Ave NE heading east to 8th Ave NE intersection and then turn right on to 8th to find the entry.
