Westcrest Park - 🍂Fallin’ for Fungi🍄 Restoration …09/24/2022

Activities

This September we’ll be 🍂Fallin’ for Fungi🍄 as we learn about the role of mushrooms and mycelial networks in our environment and in Westcrest Park. We’l also be clearing the way for planting new native plants during the Green Seattle Day volunteer event in November. Come learn and work with us as we usher in the beginning of Fall and mushroom season!

The beginning of this volunteer event will include a brief weed ID. Combine knowledge with action as we work to clear this beautiful space of harmful species that overtake the area. Many of you might already have this experience in your own backyard!

All ages OK

What to Bring

Please bring with you what you will need to be comfortable whilst spending a few hours working outside. Dress in clothed layers for the weather, and consider bringing additional dry, insulating, or waterproof layers.
Remember to bring water, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, or any other accessories to protect yourself from the elements.
Remember that blackberry thorns are sharp and can snag clothing, and that the terrain may be uneven and/or wet.
