Kiwanis Memorial Preserve Park - Kiwanis Ravine Planting Party …02/18/2023

Activities

Help us plant understory plants in our native forest restoration project! We're building habitat for urban wildlife and deep green spaces for human rejuvenation. Come get your hands in the dirt, learn a few native plants and see them budding out. You'll see all three of our volunteer worksites around Kiwanis Ravine, home to songbirds and woodpeckers, millipedes and mountain beavers.

All ages OK

3 out of 12 participants registered.

What to Bring

Wear clothes and shoes you can get muddy and snagged; long sleeves and long pants will protect you from nettle stings. Layers and a raincoat depending on the weather--we work rain or shine. Gloves and tools will be provided.

Where to Meet

Meet at W Ohman Place & 36th Ave W, the 4500 block of 36th Ave W. Follow W Government Way to the entrance to Discovery Park, turn right on 36th W and go one block. Walk down Ohman until it levels out and look for us on the short loop trail that goes left. If you come late and don't find us there, refer to the map for our other sites.
