Lincoln Park - West Seattle Community Earth …04/23/2023

Activities

Welcome stewards of our environment! Celebrate Earth Day 2023 and community by joining our urban forest restoration efforts. We'll be removing invasive plants (e.g. blackberry, ivy, holly...) to make room for our hardworking native plants and trees. We promise you lots of good nature vibes and high fives. Good for the environment and good for your health!

All ages OK

19 out of 30 participants registered.

What to Bring

Dress in NW layers to stay warm/cool and dry. We suggest long sleeves and pants year-round to protect from from scratches. Wear closed-toe, sturdy shoes or boots. Bring your personal water bottle to keep hydrated, garden/work gloves if you have them. We will have lots extra gloves and tools to borrow and snacks to enjoy.

Where to Meet

Look for the 'Green Seattle Event' signs near Shelter 5. You'll be greeted by Lisa McGinty, Lincoln Park's Forest Steward and we'll 'hike' to the restoration site from there! (FYI, Shelter 5 is located at the north end of the park, across from the wading pool, next to the playground and north of the 'north' ball fields.)
