Seward Park's Old-Growth forest has some bare ground - from overuse, and from the sword fern die-off. We are going to move a LOT of mulch to two such bare areaa.:
We will plant these bare ground areas after the deep mulching has partly decayed to create rich, moisture-retaining soil.
