Discovery Park - Restoration Ecology at Lizard …02/09/2024
Activities
Join the movement! Come see why Seattle has been recognized as a role model city by the United Nations Environment Program. It's all a part of the Decade of Ecological Restoration. We'll be led by UW Restoration Ecology students. Our primary task will be moving blackberry canes and digging up blackberry roots. We'll have pitchforks, rakes, hand tillers, and heavy duty shovels to accomplish our task.
As an added perk, we will get a short lesson on restoration ecology techniques or philosophy from current students of the curriculum.

What to Bring
Work gloves, boots, weather appropriate clothes (thermal liner layer recommended) that you don't mind getting dirty and something to stay hydrated. (I have some loaner gloves if you don't have your own)
