Those blackberry vines are trying to return, invigorated by the rain and sun mix, but they are no match for daunting volunteers! Come join us to keep Beaver Pond Natural Area a thriving habitat for wildlife and an open, easy to access retreat for visitors of the human kind. Brief orientation to invasive removal launches the start of the work party.

What to Bring

Bring yourself in long sleeves and long slacks, sturdy shoes, and hands gloved. We proved all the necessary tools, tarps, and buckets. If you have favorite tools you want to bring, please mark them so they go home with you. Water supplied but bring your own snacks if needed during this short work party.

Where to Meet

Meet at entry off of 8th Ave NE, south of NE 105th Street on the west side of the street. If coming from I-5, take the Northgate exit, get to Northgate Way, then turn right on to 8th Ave NE, cross NE 105th Street and watch for large pile of mulch, large sequoia on your right and friendly forest steward at the entry.

Where to Park

Parking on residential streets is limited. Parking lot at Northgate no charges by the hour. Buses have stops on 5th Ave NE, south of Northgate Way.
