Activities
Even though we thought we got every root last work party, blackberry has a way of hiding until it warms up. But now they are showing themselves and are very easily dug up. We'll spread mulch wherever we disturb the soil to make sure that weed seeds don't have a chance to sprout. We'll take a tour of all the diversity planted in the site last fall and assess the transplant success.
All ages OK
18 out of 20 participants registered.
What to Bring
Work gloves (I have some loaner gloves if you don't have your own), boots, long pants, weather appropriate clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and something to stay hydrated. We'll be taking a water break halfway through the event.
Where to Meet
Meet at the junction of the gravel meadow access road and the westerly parade grounds paved park road. This is 900' WSW of the large white radar tower and is a 10-minute walk from the south parking lot (please allow enough time to walk to and from the meeting site).
