Lincoln Park - BRUUN IDUN DAY Community …08/25/2024

Activities

August 25th is BRUUN IDUN DAY in Seattle. Celebrate with our much-loved troll (by recycle artist, Thomas Dambo). We'll be working to restore natural areas surrounding the troll and making space for winter planting season. After our work is done, SCAN Design Foundation will be treating all to an ICE CREAM SOCIAL as we honor Bruun Idun and the land and sea where she calls home.

All ages OK

31 out of 30 participants registered.

What to Bring

Dress in NW layers to stay warm/cool and dry. We suggest long sleeves and pants year-round to protect from scratches. Wear closed-toe, sturdy shoes or boots. Please bring your personal water bottle to keep hydrated, garden/work gloves if you have them. We will have lots extra, clean gloves and tools to borrow and snacks to help keep your energy up!

Where to Meet

We will meet at the Bruun Idun site, just north and east of the Colman Pool. Please arrive 5-10 mins early to sign-in prior to event activities. Note: The troll/restoration site is about a 10-15 minute walk from the parking lots.

Where to Park

NORTH or SOUTH parking lot or street parking on Fauntleroy SW. PUBLIC TRANSPORT: The Rapid Ride C bus stops at SW Rose St by the parking lot. Please carpool if you can!
