Lincoln Park - MLK Day of Service …01/20/2025

Activities

Welcome WS High School Student Forest Stewards! Thank you for choosing to support our urban forests in honor of 2025 MLK Day of service. We'll be removing plants (e.g. blackberry, ivy, holly...) and making room for our hardworking native trees and plants. We promise you lots of good nature vibes and high fives. Please be sure that all volunteers in your group are registered separately.

All ages OK

106 out of 80 participants registered.

What to Bring

Please dress for winter Seattle weather. Unaccompanied Youth (under 18) bring a signed Youth Participant Waiver Form, located on the right side of this page. Dress in NW layers to stay warm/cool and dry. We suggest long sleeves and pants year-round to protect from scratches. Wear closed-toe, sturdy shoes or boots. Please bring your personal water bottle to keep hydrated, garden/work gloves if you have them. We will have lots extra clean gloves and tools to borrow and light snacks to help keep your energy up!

Where to Meet

We will meet near the map kiosk in the NORTH parking lot on Fauntleroy Way SW (and SW Rose St). If you are running late, call Lisa at 248.506.7155.

Where to Park

NORTH parking lot or street parking on Fauntleroy SW. PUBLIC TRANSPORT: The Rapid Ride C bus stops at SW Rose St by the parking lot.
