Activities

The powerful storms in November toppled trees, and the recent heavy rains have caused some minor trail erosion. On the bright side, so many branches fell that the upper section of the trail got narrowed as we have wanted it to. On the down side, many of the native plants beside the trail got buried. One of our objectives will be to uncover the plants along the side of the trail. Another will be to reinforce a few of the drainage bars with gravel, and patch a few spots of eroded trail. What great sources of immediate gratification!

What to Bring

Wear sturdy clothes and shoes (dress for the weather!). We can supply work gloves and all of the tools.

Note: There are no bathroom facilities in the park.

Where to Meet

Meet in the gravel parking lot at the west corner of the intersection of NW 145th street and 3rd avenue in Seattle.
If you arrive much after 9 am, just head down the trail and you will meet up with us.
