Thorndyke Park - Invasive species maintainence and …02/23/2025

Please join us for our work party at Thorndyke park as we prepare an area of the park for our new batch of 2025 plantings! Work will include: cut back & removal of invasive blackberry and english ivy, clearance of a designated area for our new plants, maintenance around our existing native platings and compost piles from the previous year.

PLEASE NOTE- Unfortunately, there is not a bathroom at our work site. Please prepare accordingly!

What to Bring

Comfortable shoes, water bottle, warm clothing that you do not mind getting dirty.

Where to Meet

The southern side of the park, look for work area signage which will be out on the day of the event.

Where to Park

There is ample gravel parking on the Thorndyke Ave W side of the park. As well, we have the 31 & 33 buses that service the Thorndyke Ave W & W Blaine St bus stop at the actual park.
