Westcrest Park - International Day for Biodiversity …05/10/2025

Activities
Join Dirt Corps this May to celebrate the International Day for Biodiversity and help us care for this section of the West Duwamish Greenbelt. We'll be learning about this international celebration and biodiversity promotion event and how the biodiversity in Westcrest Park relates to this effort. We'll then be caring for our restoration area by applying mulch around the native plants and trees, removing weeds (looking at you blackberry!), and performing other important kinds of landscape maintenance. We hope to see you there!
All ages OK
26 out of 50 participants registered.
What to Bring
Please bring with you what you will need to be comfortable whilst spending a few hours working outside. Dress in clothed layers for the weather, and consider bringing additional dry, insulating, or waterproof layers.
Remember to bring water, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, or any other accessories to protect yourself from the elements.
Remember that blackberry thorns are sharp and can snag clothing, and that the terrain may be uneven and/or wet.
We will be providing gloves and tools for all to use, as well as snacks, hot drinks, and water.
