Activities

We are creating a wildlife-friendly area at Green Lake by planting native plants specifically selected to support birds, amphibians and other wildlife. Work will include new plantings and mulching. Ultimately, we hope to attract Pacific Chorus Frogs back to the park. Please join us and help make a difference in our park!

All ages OK

What to Bring

Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes or boots. Bring a water bottle and a snack if you'd like. Please bring your preferred work gloves if you have them, or we will have gloves available for use. We will provide all tools needed.
If the weather is bad, please check your email around 8AM to see if the work party is cancelled.

Where to Meet

We will meet at the Southeast corner of the Aqua Theater. Look for Forest Stewards in our orange vests. From there, we will walk together to the project site, which is about 200 yards to the east following the blacktop path around the lake.
From I-5 North, take exit 169 toward NE 50th ST
Turn left onto 50th ST, heading west
Turn right onto Green Lake Way N which turns into East Green Lake Way N
Turn left onto West Green Lake Way N

Where to Park

Park at the south end of the park - there are parking areas by the Aqua Theater, a little further north by the small craft center or further south by Lower Woodland Park Soccer Fields. 5750-5900 West Green Lake Way N
