Activities

Work to maintain one of the most well forested zones of Magnuson Park. The work will be mostly removing sparse Himalayan blackberry,ivy, and other invasive plants and some trailside trimming. There will also be a chance to learn a bit about native plants while working. Advance approval of leader is required for youth groups or children below high school age

What to Bring

Dress for the day's weather and wear long pants, long sleeved top, and closed toe shoes you don't mind getting dirty. Wear layers if it is chilly and if it is rainy bring rain gear. Bring a full water bottle and snack.

Where to Meet

Meet by the west side of Sports Field Drive NE about 500 feet north of NE 65th St. at the trail junction near a cross walk and baseball backstops. (The trail connects a point on NE 65th St about 100’ east of 62nd Avenue NE to the meeting place.)

Park in the large lot (lot E5) on the North side of NE 65th Street and about 3/8 mile east of Sand Point Way NE or in the large lot located south of NE 74th St. and east of Sports Field Drive NE
