Learn how and why restoration is being done at Little Brook Natural Area, learn what you can do at home to create habitat for wildlife and care for Little Brook stream, and put knowledge to action by removing some easy to pull weeds or by distributing a protective mulch cover. Enjoy snacks and meet others who live near, within, or visit Little Brook Natural Area often….both human and non-human!

What to Bring

Bring your curiosity and yourself in sturdy shoes, long slacks, and long sleeves appropriate for the weather. Please bring your own gloves but if you don’t have any, we have a few on hand. You are welcome to bring your own tools, but please make sure you mark them, so they go home with you. Cookies and other snacks along with beverages provided. Tools, tarps, buckets, wheelbarrows, and mulch all supplied by Green Seattle Partnership.

Where to Meet

Meet at the larger, north entry on the west side of 36th Ave NE at 11715 36th Ave NE. Get there from I-5 by taking either the Lake City Way or NE 130th Street exits, head east on NE 125th Street to 36th Ave NE. Turn right and head south on 36th Ave NE. Just south of NE 120th Street look for the north entry signage on the right (west) side of the street. Look for information tables and a sign in sheet.

Where to Park

Parking is limited on 36th Ave NE and other residential streets in the neighborhood. Buses have stops on 35th Ave NE. Consider carpooling as an option.
