Kubota Gardens Natural Area - English Ivy Removal - …08/23/2025

Activities

After three months of work, we are making progress! Having said that, we have a long way to go before we will be ready to plant in early winter. The work is very straightforward - pulling, digging and occasionally making a new burrito bundle or rack for the vines. No experience necessary - just bring your enthusiasm and interest.

Jeanne (your Forest Steward lead) is also testing out chocolate chip cookie recipes each month so that's another reason to come to this particular event!

All ages OK

5 out of 15 participants registered.

What to Bring

Dress for work and the weather: long pants, long-sleeved shirts, closed toed shoes. Remember your water bottle and snacks as you need them.

Where to Meet

Use 5171 S Ruggles St. for map navigation to the area. We will be working in the greenbelt immediately to the north of the road and before the private driveway. Look for the "Another Future Healthy Forest" signs.

Please be aware that although this is a Kubota Garden natural area, it is not accessible from Kubota Garden itself.

Where to Park

Parking is available using the right-of-way on the left side of the road. Please observe the no parking signs by the utility gate and stay to the left of the driveway circle.
