The plants are seriously stressed from the long drought! Our plantings from the last 2 years are in need of help as they continue to establish their root systems. The heavy waterings we did in the last 2 months have helped, but they need continued attention until the fall rains return. Meanwhile, the native forest plants are showing their own stress. The ferns are lying flat like pancakes, the salmon berry bushes are shriveling, and the trees are dropping their leaves!
Please join us on Sunday morning Watering Day. (No special training required).

What to Bring

Wear sturdy clothes and shoes. Long sleeves can protect your skin from scratches. We can supply work gloves and all of the tools.

Note: There are no bathroom facilities in the park.

Where to Meet

Meet in the gravel parking lot at the west corner of the intersection of NW 145th street and 3rd avenue in Seattle.
If you arrive much after 9 am, just head down the trail and you will meet up with us.
