Blackberry and Ivy are the targeted invasives for this work party. Help us uncover and release native shrubs as well as prepare areas for upcoming planting parties.
A short orientation to weeding techniques, tool safety, and history of the site will be provided at the start of the work party. If the weather turns rainy and windy, this event will be rescheduled.

What to Bring

Bring yourself in sturdy shoes, long slacks, and long sleeves appropriate for the weather. Please bring your own gloves but if you don’t have any, we have a few on hand. You are welcome to bring your own tools, but please make sure you mark them so they go home with you. Light snacks along with beverages provided. Tools, tarps, buckets, wheelbarrows, and mulch all supplied by Green Seattle Partnership

Where to Meet

Meet at the larger, north entry on the west side of 36th Ave NE at 11715 36th Ave NE. Get there from I-5 by taking either the Lake City Way or NE 130th Street exits, head east on NE 125th Street to 36th Ave NE. Turn right and head south on 36th Ave NE. Just south of NE 120th Street look for the entry and signage on the right (west) side of the street. There will also be a mulch pile at the entry and a Forest Steward with a sign in sheet.

Where to Park

Parking is limited on 36th Ave NE and other residential streets in the neighborhood. Buses have stops on 35th Ave NE.
