Activities

We're going to clear a bit of invasive species including ivy and holly, then plant 11 plants that will finish up my 2025 planting for this site. I'm excited to get this done before the new year (I usually don't even start until February).

What to Bring

This work will be in a raw forest environment so you need to wear sturdy shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty (you will get dirty). If you have your own gloves that is best but I have a lot of gloves that I wash after every event. I also provide all the tools.

Where to Meet

Please reference the map on this event page for the location. From the Dream Catcher sculpture at 32nd Ave South and Yesler Way, you walk one block south, then one block east.

Where to Park

Park on 32nd Ave South or Yesler Way near the Dream Catcher sculpture. There is no parking on South Washington Street or South Frink Place adjacent to the work site.

Buses: You can catch the 27 bus and get off at Leschi Elementary or you can catch the 14 bus and get off at 30th Ave South and South Jackson Street. From there, you walk north on 31st Ave South until you reach the Washington Street steps. Take the steps down the South Washington Street, then walk two blocks east.
