This is the best time of year to work in to forest because we get to plant. The earlier we get the plants in the ground the better chance they stand of surviving the summer drought. Come join us to enjoy the satisfaction of planting with your neighbors and contributing to the future old growth conifer forest that Cheasty will become for future generations to enjoy.

What to Bring

Bring thick gloves, boots, a water bottle, and a snack. We will provide tools, and if you don’t have gloves, we have some available. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty or torn by blackberry thorns.

Where to Meet

We meet at View Point Park in the Rainier Vista Neighborhood. Look for the Cheasty Tent.

Where to Park

We strongly encourage walking, rolling, or using public transportation, such as the nearby Link Light Rail, but there is plenty of free on-street parking nearby. If you bring your mountain bike you can do a few laps on the new trails!
