It may be January, but the weather forecast calls for sunshine and unseasonably warm temperatures--not great for snow sports, but just about perfect for yanking out blackberry and other weeds. We are going to focus on the western portion of the Promontory Ponds area.

What to Bring

We may be weeding plants with spines or thorns, so wear long pants and a shirt with long sleeves. Gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Wear closed toe shoes you don't mind getting dirty. Dress for the day's weather. Wear layers if it is chilly and if it is rainy bring rain gear. Bring a full water bottle and snack.

Where to Meet

If you've joined me for previous work parties, note that we will be working in a different part of the park. We will meet at the start of the Frog Pond Trail in the northeast corner of the E5 parking lot off of NE 65th St (the lot opposite the USGS building).
